When do you get this message? At the start of the rendering or at the end?

    Best regards,

the end...after i click on the save icon in VFB and specify the output path...strange, i can sometimes eliminate this by restarting max, but it does not work with this scene

this happened to me too, and was related to 3dsmax running out of memory after a particularly heavy render.

indeed its a memory issue. Try render directly to .vrimg

Stupid question but you didn't mention it... you are running x64 right?

yep, running 64bits vistas as well..
closing the other max allows me to save the image , but still its a kinf of annoying...ive had still 3 gigs of RAM free

this stuff now happens on most of my scenes, even if i have only one max open...grrrrrrr...

my system resources show i have only 1.86Gb in usage...so its defo not a memory issue!

Vlado could you please help? i simply cannot finish a project with this bug happening

                    thanks a lot

                    best regards

You say you are running 64bits Vista, but are you running 64bit Max?

                            am running max9 64bit SP2
                            vray 1.50 SP2
                            vista ultimate 64bit

                            q6600@ 3.15GHz
                            8GB RAM

this happens even if the only program run is max and vray...

drives me up to the wall really...having to render to vrimg
nothing helps, restarting, reopening etc...thinking about reinstall but am really in a tight deadline here

on the other hand it forced me to start using vrimg)))
